Use Mine helps people discover local listings, but each hire is a private arrangement between the owner and renter. Use common sense, keep written records, and do not proceed if something feels unclear or unsafe.
Before pickup
- Check that the listing has real photos and a practical description.
- Confirm the price, bond, hire dates, pickup location, return time and included accessories in writing.
- Ask questions about condition, safety instructions and whether consumables or attachments are included.
- Do not hire items that appear unsafe, illegal, stolen, misleading or unsuitable for your intended use.
At pickup and return
- Meet in a safe, practical location and bring another person where appropriate.
- Inspect and photograph the item before it leaves and when it returns.
- Test the item if practical, and record any existing marks, missing parts or faults.
- Use SMS or email confirmation so both sides have the same record.
Use Mine responsibility
Use Mine is a listing platform only. Use Mine does not inspect listings, verify item condition, guarantee listing accuracy, manage returns, hold bonds, process hire payments, provide insurance, endorse users or mediate private disputes. Owners are responsible for their listings and item accuracy. Renters are responsible for checking suitability before use. Both sides are responsible for the agreement they make with each other.
